The first episode of Roadies Rebirth had everything that makes an audition episode interesting. There were heated arguments, uncomfortable questions, contestants trying to prove themselves and gang leaders competing to bring the right people into their team. But the moment that grabbed the most attention was YouTuber Allen Chaudhary’s audition, where Abhishek Malhan questioned his past online content.

Hosted by Rannvijay Singha, the new season features six gang leaders divided into two teams. The OGs include Prince Narula, Neha Dhupia and Nikhil Chinapa, while Abhishek Malhan, Bani J and Baseer Ali lead the NewGs.

Allen Chaudhary’s Audition Turns Into a Heated Discussion

Allen Chaudhary’s appearance did not go as smoothly as he might have expected. Instead of focusing only on his Roadies potential, the discussion quickly shifted to his online behaviour and his past comments about Abhishek Malhan.

When Rannvijay asked Abhishek whether he had met Allen before, Abhishek replied, “Never.” He then explained why Allen’s online image had bothered him, saying, “Main to flipped hoon. Ye internet pe mereko aisa gangster potray kar raha tha.”

Abhishek also made his opinion about Allen’s content clear, calling it “the worst thing I have seen on the internet.”

The discussion became more serious as the panel questioned Allen about his previous content. Allen spoke about a difficult phase in his life and explained the controversy surrounding a video thumbnail that used a morphed image of a woman. Abhishek objected to the image and described it as vulgar.

What made the exchange stand out was that Abhishek did not simply turn it into a shouting match. He explained his concerns directly, while the other gang leaders also questioned Allen. By the end of the audition, Allen was not selected.

Who Joined Which Team in Episode 1?

The first episode also introduced the new selection format, where the OGs and NewGs compete using Roadiums to secure contestants. Four contestants made it through and joined the OG team.

  • Preet from Gurgaon. Both Prince Narula and Neha Dhupia wanted him. Nikhil Chinapa settled the tie in Prince’s favour, giving Preet a place with the OGs.
  • Sneha from Kolkata. All six gang leaders showed interest in her. Neha Dhupia used her Mohar to pick Sneha for the OG team.
  • Shine from Shimla. Three OG gang leaders pressed their buzzers, while the NewGs passed. Prince Narula used his Mohar to select Shine.
  • Karishma Talwar from Dehradun. Her selection became one of the episode’s biggest moments. The bidding reached 22,000 Roadiums before the OGs used the alarm and snatch button to take her from the NewGs.

So, by the end of Episode 1, Preet, Sneha, Shine and Karishma had all joined the OG team. The NewGs did not secure any of these four contestants in the opening episode.

Karishma Talwar Returns After Splitsvilla 8

Karishma Talwar’s audition was another moment worth watching, especially for viewers who remember her from Splitsvilla 8. She appeared on the show in 2015, the same season in which Prince Narula participated and emerged as the winner.

Her Roadies audition brought an interesting twist because both teams wanted her. The NewGs were in the running, but the OGs stepped in with the snatch button and managed to bring her onto their side.

For Karishma, this marks another opportunity to compete in a reality show environment. For Prince and the OG team, securing a contestant who already has reality-show experience could prove useful as the competition moves forward.

Hrietik Walia Also Fails to Get Selected

Allen was not the only aspirant who left without a place in the show. Hrietik Walia was also questioned over statements he had made in his application and faced criticism from the panel. He too failed to secure a place in the competition.

These auditions made it clear that simply appearing confident in front of the gang leaders would not be enough. The contestants had to answer difficult questions and convince the panel that they deserved a place.

Roadies Rebirth Episode 1 Sets Up the Competition

The opening episode established the main battle of the season. The OGs got the first four selected contestants, while the NewGs will have to make their moves in the auditions ahead.

Allen Chaudhary’s confrontation with Abhishek Malhan brought the biggest discussion, while Karishma Talwar’s selection added a familiar reality-show face to the lineup. With Roadiums, special powers and the OGs versus NewGs format now in play, the upcoming auditions could bring more competition between the two teams.

Roadies Rebirth has started with a mix of controversy, tough questioning and strategic selections. The next episodes will show whether the OGs can maintain their early lead or the NewGs can turn the tables.
